Two striking rubbings from Shaolin Temple for sale, 300RMB each. Mounted on white scrolls, they are ready to hang.
One is taken from a stele in the temple which shows Bodhidharma (founder of Chan/Zen Buddhism) crossing a river on a reed, as he is reputed to have done on his way to Shaolin Temple.
The other is the name of the temple, taken from the inscription that hangs above the main door, carved from the calligraphy done by Emperor Kangxi for the temple.
Pick up from Chaoyang Park west.
